Ain't it funny..

"I'm 60.
Oh no no, I'm much older.
Almost 70."
"I came here after I got married.
My hometown is in Aizuwakamatsu. In Fukushima.
It's already been a little more than 40 years since I came here."
-Do you miss Aizuwakamatsu?
"Hmm...Yes I do.
Well my mother passed away 5...No, 7 years ago.
She used to live alone, so I went back and forth from here to see her.
We used to be farmers but due to road expansion, there are no fields anymore...
I used to help with the crops when I was a child, and I always envied other children during the break in May.
While everybody was playing, I was helping in the field.
That's why I always thought,
'When I get married, I wish to find someone who is not a farmer!'"
-How did you meet your husband?
"Arranged Marriage! My sister said she knew someone.
I was not planning to come to Tokyo at all.
And now we're still together. Ain't it funny.."
"The people of tokyo are always so brisk.
It has always been like that. As you would say 'Edokko'.
I am a rustic, so I don't really talk much and sometimes I even take one step back..."
