I even think it might have been a dream.
“I'm a graduate student, and I've been researching about climate change in the Himalayas.”
- Have you been there?
“I went there last year. It was really fun but tough… We climbed up to 5,300 meters high, and the air was half as much as there is down here."
- What made you start the research?
“I originally wanted to study climate change. Then I found that I could at graduate school, so I chose one and took it.”
- How did you feel when you saw the Himalayas?
“Hmm... There are taller mountains in the world, but at the peak, there was not a single thing taller than me. Without any human crowds, there was pure silence. It felt like I was in a world completely detached from all other people. And it was strikingly beautiful. Recalling it now, I even think it might have been a dream.”
