"I've seen 'Whisper of the Heart (Mimi o sumaseba )' more than a hundred times. When I was a student, you could borrow the movie at the school library. And back in those days, I was depressed. So every day after school, I would go to the library and ask for the movie. The librarian would all be like 'Okay, here's your usual.'"
"I skip all the scenes I don't want to watch because I've remembered almost every line."
"So which part do you want to see?"
"The part where Shizuku says, 'I will write a story! I have something I want to write!' Back then I was thinking a lot about talent. And there's a scene that says, 'I'm going to go test my talent!' I really like that scene. That made me want to come to Tokyo. So I bet no one in Japan can beat me in the number of times to have watched that movie."
