‘Smiling’ is specific.

“I quit job hunting. I find something else I want to do with my life.”

- How were you able to make that big decision?
“I think it was all about the timing. Job hunting is the time of your life when you really think about who you are. And during that time, I met people who I want to make a living with and that changed everything.”

- What’s the concept; What do you want to do?
“I want to make a place where everyone can feel at home and smile. We had the vague idea that we want to do something to help others but we didn’t know anything more. So we deepened our visions and ended up thinking that ‘smiling’ was the key concept for us. ‘Happiness’ is too vague. ‘Smiling’ is specific. We want to make people smile.

When we are going to start our challenge we are going to move to Hokkaido. And as you know, Hokkaido is a rural area so it has its own problems as a community. We think it’s necessary to tackle those problems because solving those problems will make the local people smile.”

- What’s the secret in getting people to help you achieve your goal?
“Always stay humble. We are at this point where we haven’t made any achievements. But there still are good people who will support us anyway. So there’s no point in being an ass while their are being so kind. So I want to stay humble.”
